Liz Klingler
Liz grew up in a small town in Northwest Mississippi on the Tennessee border, just south of Memphis. When not spending time with her best friend growing up who lived across the street, she would visit her Grandparents’ home in Tupelo, MS. Her Grandfather taught her how to fish and her Grandmother taught her how to bake. She fondly remembers how her Grandfather would take them out in the bass boat on the lake to fish every Sunday afternoon! Liz played softball and soccer from the age of 5 all through High School. Liz has visited Elvis’s childhood home in Tupelo and the famous Graceland in Memphis.
Liz and her husband moved to Jacksonville, Florida from Virginia Beach in 2011 when he was transferred for his job. Struggling to find a position due to the recession, Liz reached out to a friend who was employed in the logistics business, and with a lot of self-determination and a little help, she soon had a job at an intermodal transportation company. Liz credits some great mentorship she received early in her transportation career that enabled her to take on more responsibilities, soon thereafter being promoted to Operations Manager of a small fleet of 20 trucks. She stayed in operations until moving to safety, where she found her calling. Prior to joining to AGX, Liz was the Senior Safety Manager at E-Transport/Railport Services.
Liz is the perfect example of how one can enter the transportation & logistics industry with little to no experience and flourish with guidance, encouragement and hard work. Liz is passionate about drivers, she says, “I have worked with a lot of great drivers over the years. Truck drivers are the foundation of our industry, without them, your freight does not move.”
When not leading AGX’s Safety & Compliance team, Liz enjoys crafting - from baking to flower arrangements, and everything in between including making candles and soaps. Liz married her High School sweetheart and they are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year! Together they have 2 children and 1 grandson. Her greatest joy is their grandson, Oliver. She “can’t wait for the adventures” they will have with him growing up!
